Macy’s, Barneys Under Investigation After Racial Profiling Complaints: Report
NEW YORK, Oct 29 (Reuters) – The new York state attorney normal is investigating Macy’s Inc and Barneys New York Inc after complaints from black prospects who had been stopped by police after making luxurious purchases, the new York Every day Information reported on Tuesday.
Legal professional Basic Eric Schneiderman has set Friday as the deadline for the shops to turn over information about their insurance policies for detaining and questioning clients based on race, in response to the Every day Information, which quoted letters despatched to Barneys Chief Govt Mark Lee and Macy’s Chief Shops Officer Peter Sachse.
